Try Something New!
Posted: Jul 13 2015
There is a quote I read this week by Dan Stevens that says, “The comfort zone is the great enemy to creativity; moving beyond it necessitates intuition, which in turn configures new perspectives and conquers fear.” This quote is talking about how we become scared when we have the option to go outside of our comfort zone and try something new. I personally believe it is very important to go outside of your comfort zone often and do something you normally wouldn’t do; so I decided to challenge myself this week.
The challenge was to go into the city and photograph street style. This may sound very simple, but shooting street style can be a little intimidating. In order to get the right shot you might need to go up and talk to someone new. Personally, it is easier for me to get out of my comfort zone if I have a friend there supporting me as I go. I met up with a photographer named Mangue Banzime who has been shooting street style photography for years and from there we photographed around Bryan Park, 5th Ave, and everywhere in between. It was quite the adventure.

The challenge had turned into a wonderful experience and eased my worry about shooting street style photography; because of this I want to challenge all of you to try something new this summer! It could be something as easy as trying a new hairstyle, meeting new friends, or finding new fashion trends and applying them to your wardrobe! Be fearless and extraordinary by trying something new everyday!
I attached several images I shot to show you all cute and trendy styles I found!
I don't know about you, but I want her shoe and bag combo!
Little tattoo details.
Blue and purple color combo.
Who says men can't also have wonderful accessories?
All three different styles, but I want each outfit in my closet.
